Post-Game Guide: Black and White
This is a list of activities and achievements you can do after defeating N and Ghetsis for the final time in Team Plasma’s castle. Although Black 2 and White 2 are given more attention for the amount of content they have, Black and White aren’t lacking: entirely new routes and cities become accessible in the post game, as well as story-related quests, and a number of local and online multiplayer functions. Some features are defunct with the death of the Dream World; I left these out of the guide to make it applicable to all players of the game.
Sidequests
- Complete the Unova Pokedex
- Complete the National Pokedex
- Collect all TMs and HMs
- Collect all elemental gems. You can find these in shaking grass, dust swirls, and bubbling water. There is one for each type, making 17 gems to collect in total.
- Collect all Props (dress up items used in Musicals) – there are 100 in total. Achieving this will increase your Trainer Card rank.
- Collect all the Plate items. Like the gems, there is one for each type, making 17 in total
- Find all items hidden in the sand in Desert Resort.
- Obtain all 33 Entralink Pass Powers – this will increase your Trainer Card rank
- Find all of the Seven Sages. They are hiding in various locations across Unova. Once found, Looker will arrest them.
- Unlock all 130 floors of the Unity Tower (accessible from Castelia City). Each floor of the tower represents a different country. To be able to access the tower, you need to trade Pokemon with someone from a different country. (The game records player location through Geonet, the cyber globe found in Pokemon Centers. If you have a second copy of the game, start a new save and choose a foreign country the first time you interact with Geonet!)
- Gather all of the dancers in Castelia City – you can find the first one in the central plaza. Completing the quest rewards you with an Amulet Coin.
- Visit the Battle Company in Castelia City. If you defeat the company boss, he will give you an Exp Share.
- Reach the Master rank at the Battle Institute in Nimbasa (Master Rank, 6 stars or 6000+ points). This score will be displayed on your trainer card, and certain dialogue in the Battle Institute will change in correspondence with your rank.
- Defeat the Subway Bosses (Ingo and Emmet) on the Battle Subway. On ordinary trains they appear after a streak of 21 won battles, whereas on Super trains they appear after 48 consecutive wins. Defeating the boss on the Single, Double, Super Single and Super Double lines will increase your Trainer Card rank as well as reward you with a trophy.
- Explore Routes 17 and 18. These areas become accessible from Route 1 once you have Surf.
- Defeat the Biker gang on Tubeline Bridge. They appear on Fridays, and if you defeat their leader, he will be so impressed that he renames his gang after your lead Pokemon.
- Defeat “Heartbreaker” Charles, the Biker who hangs out near Driftveil Market.
- One of the scientists inside the lab on Route 6 asks you to show him one of each seasonal form of Deerling. When his request is fulfilled, he will give the you a Leaf Stone.
- Battle the Riches family. This family lives in the largest villa in Undella Town. To start the challenge, speak to the boy standing outside the villa and he will battle you. Continue to follow his instructions to return the next day and you can battle various relatives of his. Upon defeating Miles the challenge will end.

The Single and Double lines are available immediately and only feature Unova Pokemon, often unevolved, whereas the Super Single and Super Double lines are unlocked after defeating Team Plasma with much stronger opponents.

- Use the Relocator to transfer event Suicune, Entei and Raikou distributed for the 11th Pokemon movie from a Gen IV game to Gen V. It can be found on the 11th floor of a building on the left side of Castelia City’s plaza. They will unlock more events in the game, which will not happen if you use the standard transfer method. The clown in the building can also open the Lock Capsule, an event item that was never officially distributed.
- Taking the event Entei/Suicune/Raikou to the silent woman in the caravan in Lostlorn Forest (accessible from Route 16) will reveal she is a lv. 25 Zoroark, which you can capture.
- If you have Keldeo, add Cobalion, Vizirion, and Terrakion to your party and bring all four to the Moor of Icirrus (accessible from Route 8). A cutscene will unlock in which Keldeo is taught its signature move, Sacred Sword.
